BRANDING, IDENTITY DESIGN

The Caravan Magazine

Early iterations involved pairing the serif "C" with "originals", drawing on both the magazine's print and web fonts to create a particularised digital-first identity.

The final design paired "The Caravan" logo with a thin sans-serif treatment of "originals" in all caps, establishing the print magazine's foray into new media, and further adapted into a watermark for a series of video reports.

DOCUMENTARY SERIES

Title design opening sequence for The Caravan's original video reportage series on Kashmir, "Resist to Exist".

 

The title design was established by building on the spot illustration from the October 2019 issue's double cover which represented the same topic.

ALTERNATE IDENTITY

 

An alternate identity was considered for the video platform, to be called the "View Finder". While ultimately discarded in favour of "The Caravan Originals", I created a separate branding for it utilising the slash " / " used as a textual and graphic element in the magazine's design system for print.
